Mumford
New York

After a short 62 mile drive from Buffalo to Mumford New York, our 20 club members enjoyed being a part of the Maple Syrup Weekend which is a New York State tradition on Sunday March 27th.  The day might have been a bit cold, windy and snowy but the food was hot and plentiful. Nothing tastes better on that kind of day than pancakes with New York State maple syrup. There was even maple syrup in the delicious eggs with bacon. Genesee Country Village and Museum at Mumford provided the buffet. We could also visit historic houses on the property and of course the gift shop. Many members braved the weather to follow the forested trail where you could learn how maple sugaring was done through the years. One could witness the advancements made to the technology that is used today.  Maple Syrup Weekend is a New York State tradition and has been a tradition with our club for many years.
