Canyons and Waterfalls
Event Report by Jim Roberts, Event Planner
Even though most had seen more water going over the falls at Noccalula and Little River due to two weeks of relatively dry weather, they were still spectacular as was Little River Canyon. It is always amazing that you can hear the river even though it is 1200 feet away.
The roads were great and almost devoid of traffic. In fact the only place in the entire national preserve park with a big crowd was the falls of Little River.
Sheila found us a hidden treasure of a restaurant in the middle of tiny Valley Head. This village is known for being the coldest weather station in Alabama in our brief winter season
At Heimatfest on 29 Sep we will drive it in the reverse direction as the last day of StarTrek.
