In the month of May, you can always count on rain in Northwest Arkansas, and yesterday was no exception. Fortunately, the Ozark Section planned a luncheon cruise on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri. Fourteen members enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal with live performers entertaining us with singing, dancing and magic tricks while we cruised the lake. All the decks were open, but the view of the lake and Ozark Mountains was covered with mist. We were seated in the first two rows close to the stage. The emcee started the show with some trick questions, and Dottie Miller was the first to volunteer to go on stage. He tricked her quickly and, sadly, she was excused from the stage. The storm held out until we arrived back to the dock, but we had a scary drive back to our homes with heavy rains and tornado warnings. Mark and Christine Mandelbaum, members of the St. Louis Gateway Section, joined us from Hannibal, Missouri. A special thank you goes to Barbara Lowinger for making the arrangements to ride the Showboat Branson Belle.
