Teresa and Chris Watt invited the club for lunch at their home. Twenty-two folks enjoyed great Texas BBQ ribs, accompanied by a nice salad, cole slaw, fruit, beans, plus iced tea and soda, and home-baked cookies. Members BYOB’d to enjoy lunch with their favorite libation. It was impossible to go home hungry.
After lunch, teams of randomly-selected members were formed to compete for prizes by playing an abbreviated game of pool - the two teams with the highest scores won prizes for each team member. The results were:
First Place - Team B: Buzz Bartlett, Nancy Rubin, Eric Clayton and Mary Ann Scheppler. Each team member got a Mercedes-Benz leather grip ballpoint pen.
Runner-Up - Team A: Susan Williams, Billie Williams, Carol Pinkston and Lou Hemler. Each team member got a Mercedes-Benz stainless steel Capri water bottle.
After our game and more socializing, we left for home on our own. Special thanks to Teresa and Chris for hosting a great event, and to Paula Bartlett for preparing healthy salad, fresh fruit and home-baked peanut butter cookies for members to enjoy.
